In this episode we discuss the wildly popular Netflix film, "Making a Murderer", about Steven Avery and his mildly retarded nephew, Brendan Dassey. When that segment is over we have an exclusive interview from the Green Bay Correctional Facility with Brendan. We "reached out" to Steven Avery but he told us he does not do interviews until after he gets his appeal. #MaM #StevenAvery #BrendanDassey #Netflix Music Credits All music by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ Relevant Things Amazon Wishlist - http://amzn.com/w/2NTFVYPK7KROV Website - www.checked-out.com Email - CheckedOutRadio@gmail.com Twitter - @CheckedOutRadio, @RealMattJosephs, @ThePeterCornell, @JimmyTheItalian, @Czigmeister Facebook - www.facebook.com/checkedoutradio Sponsors Czig Meister Brewery- www.czigmeister.com Twitter, Instagram- @czigmeister Promotional Consideration The Lodges at

Come on. Admit it. When you go to a wedding the DJ looks like a complete fucking tool. There he is bopping around, looking all cool thinking all eyes are on him. Between his shameless self promotions and constant reminders of what the date is, he actually plays a song or two. And when that only classic song that will get you to go on the dancefloor comes on you get excited. That is, until you realize it's A FUCKING REMIX of "Livin' On A Prayer"!!! The #VegasShooting by Stephen Paddock has rocked the nation and the information that has been coming out since only adds confusion and uncertainty to the mix. In the first segment of the show, it's business as usual. After the break, we open the phones and read comments from the live feed on Facebook as we discuss the shooting. Checked Out In Jersey Episode 511- Matt's Second Heart Attack, Rodney Flies Solo and Audible Soul Performs Live!
Matt has yet another heart attack. Or maybe this time it was a stroke. Or nicotine poisoning. Or who knows what? All he knows is that he couldn't lift his arms and he didn't like what his doctor told him. Just listen. Chet had sand in his va-jay-jay, so Rodney, from Down The Hall Podcast ( www.downthehallpodcast.com ), was flying solo during his segment, in which he gives Matt health advise and forms a "co-hosts union" of sorts with Pete. This week's recommendation is "Sing Street". Just listen! And, finally, the Main Event: Audible Soul is a refreshing, soulful trio out of Westfield, New Jersey and they stop by the studio to deliver our first live in-studio performance since Marquis Allen in 2015. (We really are a class act when it comes to bringing you fine entertainment.) You really gotta listen!! Oh, and CJ owns Butcher Burgers on Elm St in Westfield. Matt and Pete ate their a few weeks ago and, boy, oh boy, does that CJ make some good burgers. No
Well, all good things must come to an end, they say. So why is THIS ending? We haven't been good at anything since high school and, even then, it was all relative. But I digress. Due to other interests, personal calamities and plain old burn out, we've come to the end of the show FOR NOW. Maybe forever, but probably not. We thank all of you for listening regularly and telling your friends about the show. It really does make us feel good to see our numbers grow over the course of the year. We ended last month with over 48,000 downloads on our RSS feed. Not too shabby for one month. We'd also like to thank Sophia Eptamenitis for the good work finding us guests in this last season. We're looking forward to working with her on our future projects. And speaking of guests, we can't say "good-bye" without thanking all the people who have deigned to come on our piddly little show for an interview. There are too many to mention one by one so we'll just go acc
*** A word to the wise: this show should be listened to in headphones or speakers of better quality than the one on your phone. Due to a technical problem, this episode was recorded (accidentally) on one microphone...the one built into the laptop we record on. However, the show must go on and this one especially because we interview our first sponsor, Matt Czigler, founder of Czig Meister Brewing Company in Hackettstown, NJ. Matt's a very cool guy (naturally...I mean, it comes with the name for God's sake) and he sure knows his beer. Matt (Josephs), Pete and Jimmy the Italian sure are enjoying familiarizing themselves with Czig Meister's beer too.
